1988 Yamaha TDR250 2YK A genuine survivor, with only 152 km / 95 miles on the clock. Whilst it's in original condition, it has been stored poorly. It looks great, but it does have an accumulation of nearly 40 years of dirt, corrosion and oxidisation throughout - so you can expect honest originality, but please do not expect brand new. We were assured the mileage is genuine by the vendor and once you peel back some of the rubbers and look in detail, we believe it is too. We bought the bike from a small independent garage outside Tokyo. The original owner rode the bike a few times and it scared them, so it was parked up and left standing for 37 years. In that time it was started periodically and rolled around, keeping things free moving. We have completed the basics to get the bike UK registered, on an age related E plate, with V5. It runs beautifully, starts at the merest prod on the kickstart and is purring like a sowing machine. However, to be road legal the tyres need changing, as it still has the original Bridgestone Trail Wing tyres! They are cracked and hard, but proudly boasting the two paint lines visible from the day it left the showroom. Comes with genuine owners manual, brochure and rare dealership book, as well as tool kit and two Yamaha keys.
